Version 21.03 of Doppler On-Prem has been released. This is a major update with over 810 code changes since 20.08.11.

An OVA without a manifest (marked legacy) has been provided for compatibility with VMware administration interfaces that don’t support SHA256 checksums.

We recommend verifying the integrity of the installation images.

This update contains database changes, remember to run update-database to update the database schema.

Changes in 21.03:

  • (Security) Linux base images for Debian 10.8 and dependencies have been updated to the latest patch levels as of 2021-03-15.

  • (Security) Most requests are now CSRF checked.

  • (Security) A minor issue was fixed where text could be injected into the “Delete Firmware” feature #416

  • (Security) Users with the ‘super’ permission can now delete routers.

  • (Security) Users with the ‘super’ permission can now access the Change Log.

  • (Security) Users with the ‘agent’ permission can now run predefined scripts on routers.

  • (Security) A problem was fixed where router information could be viewed outside a users group if the router was moved from a group the user has access to. #3838d645

  • (Security) The ACL system has been improved.

  • (Bugfix) A bug was fixed where group IDs could collide under certain circumstances.

  • (Bugfix) HTTP performance has been improved for routers downloading firmware from Doppler On-Prem.

  • (Bugfix) Problems with the “Schedule” feature during RTask creation has been fixed.

  • (Feature) The performance of the data ingress mechanism has been increased.

  • (Feature) A “Group Lock” feature has been added, preventing a group hirarchy from being modified when enabled.

  • (Feature) External temperature sensors are now supported, with warning limits.

  • (Feature) A searchable list of ongoing and historical “Warnings” have been introduced.

  • (Feature) The RTask feature has undergone several UI updates, including a new search.

  • (Feature) A config template mechanism has been pre-released, allowing groups to define configuration rules.

  • (Improvement) Fix performance of database queries for Change logs and RTask list (#400, #373)
